Lavender Simple Syrup

1 Tbsp Dried Culinary Lavender 1 Cup Water 1 Cup Sugar

Mix lavender, water & sugar in a saucepan. Heat until sugar dissolves. Make sure not to boil sugar water. Remove from heat. Allow to sit for 30 minutes for a lighter flavor or allow to sit overnight for a stronger lavender essence. Once desired flavor has been reached strain lavender and store in an airtight container in refrigerator for up to a month.

Can be utilized in coffee drinks, teas, cocktails, Italian sodas, etc.

Lavender Lemonade

1 Tbsp Dried Culinary Lavender 1 Cup Sugar (this can be adjusted to sweetness preference) 2 Cups Boiling Water 1 1/2 Cups Fresh Squeeze Lemon Juice 2 Cups Cold Water Ice Garnish: Lemon Wedges & Fresh Lavender Sprigs

Muddle lavender and sugar to help release oils into the sugar in a large measuring cup. Pour boiling water in and stir until sugar is dissolved. Cover and let sit for a minimum of 30 mins. The longer the lavender sugar water rests the stronger the lavender flavor will be. I prefer to allow lavender to sit in sugar water overnight. Strain lavender sugar water and pour into pitcher. Stir in lemon juice & cold water. Taster & adjust to your liking. If too sweet add more lemon juice, if too tart add more sugar, if too strong add more water. Serve over ice and add optional garnish.

Enjoy!
