Our Lavender Farm Journey
In 2020 we were inching closer to becoming empty nesters and decided it was time for a new adventure that included a change in weather. We lived in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado where it could snow any month of the year. We each had a list of wants in our new space. At the top of the list for one was mountains and the other was seasons that allowed for gardening.
We started researching places that checked most of our boxes. This lead us to the beautiful state of Oregon. We planned a visit for the summer of 2020 and wasted no time picking destinations for our trip west. We started in southern Oregon and it didn't feel like home so we carried onto our next destination which was the Roseburg area. We instantly fell in love with the area and proceeded to explore to see if we could call it our new home. We never completed the rest of our trek we had planned north as the Umpqua Valley was our new home.
We were in the middle of purchasing a beautiful property outside of Glide that was a beautiful forested haven. Unfortunately the Archie Creek Fire went through our neighborhood and hit the property pretty bad. We planned trip #2 in the fall of 2020 to investigate the damage. We decide it was still worth investing in and we were willing to see what the future holds as there were still several green trees on the property. Fast forward to us living on the property in 2021 and the green trees started uprooting therefore we started exploring ideas of what we could do next. After much research & debate we decided upon a lavender and honey bee farm. So after a lot of blood, sweat and tears we are more than honored to offer you our products infused with so much love & dedication.
Photo is from our daughter and new son-in-law’s wedding. They exchanged their wedding vows in our field over the summer of ‘25 and we couldn’t have been happier to host their special day.
